Heated Level 1-2 Vinyasa

Erin Malone

Born and raised in Toledo Ohio, Erin is a graduate of St. Ursula Academy ('05) and Ohio University ('09) with a degree in Special Education. She moved to Pittsburgh in 2010. Erin's yoga practice began when Stray Dog opened their doors in January 2011. She found that practicing several times a week helped her maintain a healthy lifestyle and balance the stress of a new job and city.  Erin's love of yoga, the community she found at Stray Dog and her teaching background led her to enroll in the Stray Dog's first Teacher Training Program in October '12. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in January '12.  Erin also completed Yoga Works Kid's Yoga Teacher training with Jocelyn Kay Levy.   Erin appreciates the physicality of a regular yoga practice along with the mental and emotional calm that is found by challenging your mind and body on the mat. Her classes are designed to help students recognize their strength within and allow them to float through a mindful and eclectic flow.

Heather Miller

Heather began her love of yoga about 10 years ago. Her practice started as an alternative to running and a great way to spend time with her sister. She was quickly drawn to the mind-body connection and decided to become a certified instructor through Yoga Flow. Heather has her Bachelors degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine and her Masters in Physical Therapy. She is currently a Product Specialist sales representative for Tactile Medical. When not working and teaching, Heather enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and children. They reside in Gibsonia.

Jamie Malinowski

"A Pittsburgh native, Jamie began practicing while living in a new city and searching for a cure for her consistent low back pain. She stumbled upon Bikram yoga in Alexandria, VA, and within a year was apprenticing under the direction of owner Jim Ambrogi, and received her RYT-200 certification in the Barkan Method of Hot Yoga, which is a fusion of Bikram and Vinyasa yoga. Jamie is also the former owner of Prima Yoga in Cranberry Township, and has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 7 years. Jamie believes everyone can practice and benefit from yoga, and when teaching she strives to make postures accessible to every student, focusing on the alignment rather than the depth of each pose. Her classes will leave you feeling energized, challenged and strong, but also with a sense of peace as she guides you through physical postures while taking moments to encourage you to notice your breath, your body, and to find the stillness in each asana. Jamie looks forward to sharing her passion for yoga with others. She currently resides in Valencia with her husband , Ed, and their two boxer fur-babies."

Laura Baker

Laura completed her 200 hour teacher training at Stray Dog Yoga Studio in 2015. Laura aims to meet her students where they are in their practice, inviting them to develop a loving self awareness of their bodies and minds on and off their mats through light-hearted yet intentional vinyasa flows.

Liz Juchno

Liz was introduced to yoga in the past, but only found her yoga home until she stepped into Stray Dog Yoga Studio. Finding herself yearning for the mental and physical benefits of the practice, she began to devote herself daily to her yoga journey. Encouraged by kind and enlightening teachers, Liz completed her 200 hour teacher training program at Stray Dog Yoga Studio in October 2014. Since then, she has realized this is only the beginning of her yoga journey and continues to dedicate herself to her study and practice. Each time Liz steps onto her mat, she is filled with joy, love and happiness. Liz is excited to share her passion for yoga and encourages anyone who steps onto their mat to smile, find the warmth in their hearts, and a genuine feeling of wellness.
Level 1-2 classes include targeted warmups, Sun Salutations and carefully sequenced standing postures followed by counter postures, cooling floor work and savasana. Experienced instructors provide plenty of modifications and intensifications so that students can leave feeling balanced and restored.  Level 1-2 classes are accessible to beginner and intermediate practitioners. If you are new to vinyasa yoga, we recommend attending a Level 1 classes before Level 1-2 in order to get the most out of your experience.  The studio is heated to 87-92 degrees for this class.
